GRADUATE STUDENTS
If you are interested in joining my group as a PhD candidate, you should follow the standard application procedure for PhD studies at the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology, York, and indicate ‘bipedal robotics’, ‘digital health’ or ‘solid mechanics’ as your primary research interest. Incoming graduate students are also highly encouraged to apply for external fellowships.
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCHER
The lab supports experiential and computational learning opportunities for outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students across campus to actively participate in faculty-mentored research. Prospective students must email CVs and relevant documents to Dr Ellison.
MEDICAL STUDENT RESEARCHERS
We are seeking to engage medical students to join our lab. Projects can be over summer or throughout the academic year. Students are encouraged to contact Dr Ellison before applying.

- The Great Britain-China Educational Trust - Chinese Student Awards
- Royal Society Grants
- Students or clinicans based in the UK could be eligible for funding from NIHR. A range of scholarships are available from PhD to research breaks for senior staff.
